About The Program

     This is an intensive half-day workshop focusing on some key practice management issues of critical importance to dermatology practices.  Topics will include an overview of coding and Medicare policies, as well as the basics of health care security and patient privacy issues for dermatology. There will be ample time for discussion and questions.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, the participant should be able to:

  1. List the recent changes in Medicare and coding guidelines and how these are applied in a dermatology practice.
  2. Discuss how patient privacy rules are properly applied in a dermatology practice.
  3. Describe how to implement an electronic health record and communication system that is compliant with privacy and other rules in a medical practice.
